If a car doesn’t have a CLMA inspection decal, it will not be allowed to race. First two cars from each heat race will go directly to the CLMA inspection scales. Any qualified car that doesn’t go directly to the scale after the heat race will start at the back of the Main event. Top 5 cars from the Main event will go directly to the CLMA inspection scales before trophy presentation. Any top 5 car that doesn’t go directly to the scale after the Main event will be disqualified and their position will be changed to last place (NO PAYOUT). The winner will not be announced until the car has cleared Tech Inspection.
4.) Race Format: All races will follow the same format
A.) Drivers Meeting: 1 Hour before race time. All drivers must attend drivers meeting, to go over race format and track rules.
B.) Track Packing: ALL CARS WILL HELP PACK TRACK AS NEEDED. Any car/driver not fulfilling their obligation per the tracks request will start at the back of the heat race and main event. We are not talking about one or two laps. You need to stay out for the complete session.
C.) Heat Races: There will be a pill draw at the CLMA trailer to determine Heat Race starting positions. Lowest pill starts on the pole of first heat race, second lowest pill on the pole of second heat race, etc. This will be followed by track packing and hot laps. Heat races will run first with no less than 7 cars and a maximum of 10 cars depending on the total car count. Heat Race laps will be based on the number of cars plus two laps. Heat races will be scored as won. No passing points. If you are not in line up when called and you miss your heat race you will go to the back of the main.
D.) Dash for Cash Qualifiers & Draw for Main Event Starting Spot: The 2 highest cars from each heat will be in the Dash. Number of laps will be based on the number of cars. There will be one lap for each car that qualifies. The winner of the first Heat race will line up on the pole of the dash with winner of the second Heat race on the outside pole, the winner of the third Heat inside second row, and so on. If a car can’t/doesn’t race in the dash they will be placed at the back of the main. Drivers and their cars are to stay on the track for the Frisbee Main Event Line-Up Draw. The dash for cash qualifiers in their dash finishing order will pick a Frisbee with a number on it to determine how they will start the Main event.
E.) Infield Frisbee Toss: All drivers will walk onto the track, to join the dash drivers in the infield for driver introductions and then the autographed frisbee toss to the fans.
F.) Main Event:
- Line Up: Frisbee Number 1 lines up on the pole with the rest falling in order and then the other heat qualifiers in order by how they finished. Each car must take the Main event green flag to qualify for payout.
- # of Laps & 4 Wide Parade Lap: We will start each feature Main event with a 4 car wide parade lap. Regular series main events, depending on the car count (20 cars or more with a maximum of 24) will race 30 green laps, with no fuel stops. CLMA Mini Series – Topless races will be 40 green laps. In the event the car count is lower than 20 to provide a good race for the spectators it could be reduced to 25 green laps, the promoter or track owner shall have the right to change the number of green flag laps. This change will be decided before the race is started and proper notification will be posted and shall not be changed during the event. The promoter or track owner will have the option of adding cars to the main at his discretion.
- Restart Lineups: At all races, until the first lap is complete we will run original line up, except – SEE Cautions. Then we’ll have double file restarts with a solo leader. When the caution flag comes out, get into a single file line. The track officials will line you up in order per the last completed green flag lap. The leader will be in the first row by themselves, picking the lane to run in. Once the leader reaches the restart line drivers may pass to the right. The second place car restarts on the inside pole, third car outside, the rest of the cars will line up behind in order. If the race goes yellow with five or less laps left we will line up the field single file with the lap cars to the back
- Cautions: All cars involved or that directly causes a caution (official call) will go to the rear of the field. Drivers will be disqualified if they are involved in 2 cautions during any race. If you stop on the track for any reason under green and it brings out a caution this will count as one of your two cautions. If you go into the pits or you have your car fixed on the track you will restart at the rear of the field. Only you or a track official may work on your car on the track (you still go to the back). If a non official comes onto the track and touches your car you will be disqualified.

8.) Driver / Crew Performance:
A.) What is “Rough Driving”: We all know the saying rubbing is racing, which
is true, you cannot race 24 cars side by side and not expect to touch or rub.
The difference is: when you “rub” someone you both continue on without
one car gaining a significant advantage over the other. Rough driving is
driving through someone or taking someone out to gain a position. Any
driver deemed to be rough driving will be black flagged from the race.
B.) Policy on Retaliation: Any driver at any CLMA sanctioned event that uses
their race car to retaliate against another competitor following a rough driving
situation and or any situation will be black flagged from the event and fined
$100 for the first offense, a second offense will result in the driver being
suspended from any CLMA sanctioned event for a 12 month period following
the offense. This policy includes actions on the race track, leaving the race
track, and the pits. There will be no tolerance for these types of actions. We
need to remember that we are driving 2300 pound 600hp race cars. Innocent
track workers, flagmen, crew members, spectators, kids, etc could be in
between you and the other car.
C.) Complaints: If you feel that you were a victim of rough driving, (and the
other driver was not black flagged), retaliation, or another team member
started trouble in your pit area, bring your concern in written format to the
CLMA trailer following the event. Complaint forms are available at the
CLMA trailer. Give yourself a few minutes to calm down so you can
reasonably discuss your concerns with the CLMA officials. Remember
venting your frustrations on an official usually does not work to your
advantage. Any person (of a team) that has an issue with another team
member of official needs to contact a CLMA official. If they pursue it on
their own and a conflict arises one or both of the car owners of the parties
involved will be fined $100 each, payable in full prior to going back on track.
9.) Rain Outs: In the event a sanctioned race is rained out prior to the completion of
all races and rescheduled for a later date, the entry fee shall be rain-checked for those who have already paid. At the rescheduled race, all races shall be rerun and all drivers will redraw for starting positions. In the event no races have been run and the event is not rescheduled, entry fees shall be refunded. Refund of pit pass will be at the race tracks discretion. One lap over half-way through the A-Main event shall constitute a complete race in the event a race is stopped due to bad weather. If a race is stopped by use of a red flag and is ruled completed, the finishing positions will be paid according to the last officially scored lap by the leader previous to the red flag.
