We are expecting between 15 to 20 limited late models to show up for the first race of the season and we hope to build on that threwout the year. Some of the drivers that have said that they will be at the first race are Scott Lewis (2011 CLMA DIRTcar Series Champion), Jeff Meeker (2010-2011 DIRTcar Colorado Limited Late Model Champion), Dave Garmann (2004 & 2009 CLMA DIRTcar Series Champion), along with past DIRTcar Colorado Limted Late Model winners Jared Maas, Dylan Schmer, Bubba Alverado, Will Brack, and Tim Kiefer. Brad Shelton will also be making his first career start in a limited late model after being one of the drivers to beat in the modified class at I-76 Speedway for past several years.

This class is getting bigger and better every year and we hope to see more cars and fans then ever next Saturday at I-76 Speedway.

The next races for the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Northern Series presented by Indy Screen Print will be June 1st at Black Hills Speedway and June 2nd at Gillette Thunder Speedway.

The next races for the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Southern Series presented by Indy Screen Print will be June 8th & 9th at Aztec Speedway.

Also, anyone that is pre-registerd by April 15th and does not qualify for the A-Main event will be entered into a drawing. If your name is drawn you will get a starting spot in the A-Main worth atleast the $1,200 to start money.

Like I said it does not cost anything to pre-register, just a few minutes of your time. You will pay the entry fee at the gate if you come to the race. So, please send in your pre-registration forms and show that the late models are committed to making this huge weekend of racing a success. The owner of the Great American Dirt Track, Patrick Johnson, is committed to making this one of the best races every year and will be paying out over $70,000 just to the late madels in two nights so please take the time to get this registration form back to him. He has sent out mailings with the pre-registration form to almost 400 drivers 3 time now and it is pretty dissapointing how few he has got back

The Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series would like to announce that we will be teaming up with Indy Screen Prints of Indianapolis, Indiana to become the Title Sponsor of  both the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Northern & Southern Series for the 2012 season. Our series will now be called the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series Presented by Indy Screen Prints.

Working with Rue Stone, Indy Screen Prints –  Western Region Salesman, the CLMA DIRTcar Series was able to come to an agreement that will help both parties. This deal will end up paying for the majority of the points funds for the CLMA DIRTcar Northern and Southen Series and it will help promote and increase business for Indy Screen Prints. Also, Rue Stone is committed to helping grow the series and has already used his connections to bring additional sponsors to the CLMA DIRTcar Series.

Indy Screen Prints is a family owned business based out of Indianapolis, Indiana that was started in 1968. They have done work for several NASCAR teams over the years including Tony Stewart and Penski Racing and several famous tracks including Eldora Speedway and Knoxville Speedway. They also have done work for tons of sprint car, modified, and late model teams over the years. Currently they handle all of the merchandise at two of the tracks that the CLMA DIRTcar Series will be racing at in 2012, El Paso Speedway Park and Southern New Mexico Speedway.

On Friday, April 27th we will be at the Great American Dirt Track in Jetmore, KS for the “Preview to the Showdown”. This race will pay $1,500 to win and $200 to start. On the following night, Saturday, April 28th we will stay at the Great American Dirt Track for the 3rd Annual Sunflower State Showdown, the biggest race in series history! The 3rd Annual Sunflower State Showdown will pay $12,000 to win and $1,200 to start. We will finish off the weekend on Sunday, April 29th by traveling about 100 miles south west to the Beaver County Raceway in Beaver, OK. Sundays race will pay $3,000 to win and $400 to start.

If you pre-register by March 31, 2012 you will be eligible to receive a $10 discount on one of your pit passes at the Great American Dirt Track and you will be eligible for the $50 fuel discount that VP Fuels will have on drums of fuel at the track. You will only receive these discounts if you pre-register by March 31st.

All three nights of racing will be co-sanctioned by the CLMA DIRTcar Series and the MARS DIRTcar Series. All three nights will be points races for the CLMA DIRTcar Northern Series, CLMA DIRTcar Southern Series, DIRTcar Western Region, and DIRTcar National Points. Only the Saturday and Sunday night shows will be points races for the MARS DIRTcar Series.
